  • Lago Farm is conveniently located near Magnolia, Texas, right off Highway 249 and the Farm to Market 1486 exit. We are approximately 50 minutes from downtown Houston, making it an easy drive for those in the greater Houston area.

  • An on-site restroom is available and located in our white shed, also known as the Kubo.

  • Yes, free parking is available on-site. Parking is located on grass, right in front of the private residence, with a short 30-second to 1-minute walk to the greenhouse.

    Please note: We limit parking close to the greenhouse as vehicles can be visible in photos due to the large windows.


  • No, the space is not fully private.

    Lago Farm has multiple bookable areas, including the Greenhouse and La Plaza, and it’s possible for both spaces to be booked at the same time. You may see other guests on the property during your visit.

    If you’re looking for a more private experience, you can book both spaces at the same time, which allows you to have the property to yourself.

  • Guests may interact with our farm animals when a Lago Farm team member is present.

    • Please respect the animals and our property, as this is a private, working farm.

    • Lago Farm is a small business, and we are still actively developing our space after opening to the public in late 2024. There may be ongoing projects and work areas around the farm, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.


  • The best times for photography in the greenhouse are:

    • Two to three hours after sunrise for early morning lighting

    • Two hours before sunset (for softer, golden-hour lighting)

    Since this is an outdoor greenhouse, temperatures can rise quickly throughout the day. We advise planning your shoots accordingly and dressing appropriately for the weather.


  • The greenhouse is equipped with air conditioning; however, as a glass structure, it can still get warm during hotter parts of the day. We recommend dressing comfortably for the weather.

Safety Guide

As a working farm, Lago Farm is home to dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and various wildlife. We kindly ask all visitors to respect the animals and our natural surroundings. Our farm is private property, and access to the studio area is provided by a designated team member upon arrival.

  • Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.

  • Respect the property, animals, and natural environment.

  • Respect our farm’s peaceful atmosphere and keep noise levels low.

  • Track your session time carefully and wrap up promptly.

  • Kindly return props and equipment to their original place.

  • Help us maintain a clean and tidy space at the end of your session.

Shared Space Notice

Lago Farm has multiple bookable areas, including the Greenhouse and La Plaza.

While each group will have their own reserved space, the property is not fully private, and there may be other bookings taking place at the same time in a different area.

If you are looking for a fully private experience, you may book both the Greenhouse and La Plaza together, subject to availability.

Greenhouse Studio
Our greenhouse is an outdoor studio space. While we provide fans and do our best to keep the area comfortable, please be aware that temperatures can rise inside the greenhouse, especially on warm days. As an outdoor location, we cannot control weather conditions. If you need to reschedule due to weather, we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

La Plaza (Outdoor Set & Event Space)

La Plaza is an open-air space designed for both photography and small gatherings. It currently includes two pergolas and white wall backdrops, with access to surrounding outdoor areas of the farm. As an outdoor space, weather and natural elements may affect your experience. Please plan accordingly. La Plaza is not a fully enclosed or private venue. Other bookings may be present on the property during your reserved time.

Farm Regulations

  • No open flames are allowed on the farm at any time.

  • Avoid any damage to props, structures, or equipment within the studio. Clients are liable for mistreatment or damage to farm property.

  • Please do not use messy or hard-to-clean props (e.g., glitter), liquids, or food in the studio. Any excessive mess may result in a cleaning fee.

  • An on-site restroom is available for your convenience, located in our white shed, also known as the Kubo.

Booking/Renting

  • Arrive at the scheduled time; any time lost due to tardiness will not be refunded.

  • Exceeding the agreed time may incur an additional charge.

  • Please be mindful of other bookings scheduled after yours.

Equipment Usage

  • Equipment is free to use during your studio time (lighting, backdrops, tripods, etc.).

  • Report any damaged or broken equipment before use.

  • All equipment is checked after each booking; clients may incur a fee for any damages.

Liability Waiver
By booking at Lago Farm, you acknowledge that Lago Farm is not responsible for any lost personal items or any injuries sustained while on the property. We ask that all guests exercise caution, particularly around animals and outdoor areas.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking. Any cancellations made afterward will not be refunded via credit.
